The Recreational
Vehicle Industry Association reported wholesale shipments of 24,600
units in April, up 85% from the same period in 2009. Shipments
continue to show a positive trend. Shipments are up 94.7% year-to-date
compared with 2009.
According to the RVIA,
RV shipments are projected to total 185,800 units in 2010, a 26.5%
increase from the projected 2009 total, according to RV industry analyst
and director of consumer surveys at the University of Michigan
Dr. Richard Curtin. Gains are expected over
the next two years as negative financial factors give way to improved
market conditions.
RV Investor's
forecast is 238,200
wholesale units shipments and RV retail revenue of $6.7 billion and
wholesale revenue of $5.0 billion. |
