Gasoline Cheaper than Bottled Water Again
December 8, 2008

In good news for consumers, US fuel prices have dropped as precipitously as the price of crude oil. Oil prices have fallen below $50 per barrel for the first time since May 2005, down $100 from its peak last summer. Gasoline prices have dropped from over $4 per gallon to under $2 and is now cheaper than bottled water. Diesel fuel has take a similar dip from nearly $5 per gallon to $2.50.

This is unlikely to help RV sales much although it should encourage use by existing owners and perhaps benefit RV services providers.
